Now that Mandarin Tiger has met it's demise, it was time to start trying new places for Chinese delivery. Will I ever find another place that can make that damn New York style Chicken Chow Mein with Crunchy Noodels??? RIP Mandarin Tiger. Sad face.We ate here a few years back and I remember it was pretty good. They have online ordering through their website which worked out great. Our order-Sweet & Pungent Shrimp (X1 $12.95)Steamed Rice, Small (X1 $1.00)Fried Shrimp (6) (X1 $6.50)Beef Noodle Soup For 2 (X1 $5.95)Chicken with Garlic Sauce (X1 $8.95)Delivery was within 45 minutes. Everything was really good. Highlights were the Beef Noodle Soup and Sweet and Pungent Shrimp. Prices seemed very reasonable compared to other restaurants. Maybe even lower. I know The Great Wall in Reseda charges $16.95 for their Sweet and Pungent Shrimp and Joe's was just as good for $12.95. Looks good in the box flanked by steamed Broccoli.Overall very good. Joe's is going into our rotation of delivery restaurants for sure.

Ordered delivery from here only work which is pretty close by. Food was awesome, I got the happy family , cream cheese crab wontons and chicken fried rice. I split it with my boyfriend and we were STUFFED. It was pretty pricy, that's probably the only downside. But we will def order here again!!

Came in on Christmas for dinner with a group of friends... and because it was Christmas and the amount of people here was ridiculous, I am not basing my stars off of this. If i were to base this review off of service I would have given 0 stars but I wont since I am not sure what it is like on a normal day. Half of our table did not even receive what they had ordered and ended up just canceling their orders all together! The food however was okay, so 3 stars for the food but nothing out of this world... I tried the orange chicken, beef and broccoli, and the garlic eggplant. The garlic eggplant was really good and the other two could have been better. I think I will come back one more time and hope the service is much better on an average day, but I will post an update once I do so.

I know it's xmas day and there are a lot of people going out for Chinese, but this was ridiculous. We couldn't get through on the phone, so decided to just drive down. We ordered and they told us it would be 35 minutes. Nearly 50 later, the food wasn't ready and they were struggling to find our order. 10 minutes later we had food in hand and were heading home, only to realize once home that NOTHING in the order was correct. On top of that, the food was mediocre at best. We'll never be back.

We have been mourning the loss of Uncle Chen's in Encino and have been looking in frustration for real (that means NY style) egg foo young. Although Joe's is just a few minutes from our home, it looked like the standard strip mall Chinese restaurant so it never occurred to us to try it earlier. Our loss.A few weeks ago we decided we wanted a quick basic Chinese supper so we decided to stop in. When we arrived we were greeted and seated quickly in a rather plain room. We ordered hot & sour soup (single portion), Beef Chow Fun and a Pork Egg Foo Young. The single portion of soup was large enough for two and was excellent. The Pork Chow Fun was superb with a bit too many noodles. But the star performer was the Egg Foo Young. We requested NY style (the meat cooked inside the omelette rather than piled on top) It was as good, if not better than, what we once got at Uncle Chen's...and far less expensive.Last night we decided to order take out both because we were ready for Chinese and we had just returned home from the LA Phil. We also wanted to see if the earlier experience was a fluke or is Joe's as good as we felt it was the first time.Short answer, it was as good, if not better than, the first time. We had the same soup and the Egg Foo Young but substituted "Spicy Tangy Chicken" for the Chow Fun.Joe's is now our "go to" place for Chinese. Great cooking, very nice staff, large portions and ridiculously low prices. No more long drives from Tarzana to Monterey Park for us.

Most of the food we ordered was just OK. But the $14 Scallops I ordered were tasteless, and had to be thrown away. If your looking for good Chinese food, keep looking.

I will never order from this restaurant agan! I was told the order would take only 20 minutes to deliver and it took over an hour to be delivered! To make matters worse, I specifically asked 3 times for hot mustard to be included in my order for the 2 orders of egg rolls i ordered. I even said it again before I hung up the phone! Sure enough when the delivery guy finally showed up, an hour plus later, my wife asked him if it was in th bag and he said yes. After opening our food, sure enough there was no hot mustard. How can such an easy request be so hard to fullfill? I spoke with three people including the deivery driver and not one of them got it correct! I tried calling them back and I got a busy signal for the next 30 minutes, after which I just gave up trying to call. What a shame, because the old owners were so awesome and we never had this probelm when they owned the place. I will never order from Joe's again and will put it all over the internet and tell all my friends and family as well.

We've been there twice and everything we ordered has been delicious; tender, fresh and not salty. The chicken pieces are a good size, not like some other Chinese restaurants that chop chicken into tiny, fatty pieces. We liked the Wor Wonton soup, beef and snow peas, shrimp with lobster sauce and Kung Pao chicken. Even the fortune cookies taste fresher than most Chinese restaurants.

Food is excellent! We consistently come here and love the food. I took one star off because the last time we were here our baby began screaming and the waitress asked us to keep her quiet. This was 3:30 in the afternoon and there was NO one in the restaurant except for a couple waiting for their take out to get ready. We literally come here once a week her comment was so offensive. The couple who runs the restaurant is great. This particular waitress was a young girl so I guess it's because of her inexperience with customer service.

Lunch special between 11-4pm. I had Mongolian beef and my wife had shrimp with garlic sauce. Both were very scrumptious. The shrimp chow mein is great as well. My wife seemed to love the Thai tea and the crab wontons are a delight. Overall a excellent food and great service for a little whole in the wall kind of spot.
